The village of St. Jacobs is popular for its little stores, many
of them run by Mennonites selling everything from food to cloths
and local handicrafts. It is also a market place for many local
artists, including native Indians, selling their pieces of art
in the towers of the old mill on the bank of the Grand River. If
you want to learn about the time of the first settlers and some
forgotten crafts, such as quilting and broom making, this is
a place for you to start.
